Parker Wheels and Hubs was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1943, when Fred R. Parker created his first wheels and hubs made for the harness racing industry.
Fred started his journey with a handmade prototype that he designed in his modest shop. Harness racing professionals quickly took notice of the improved speed and durability afforded by the revolutionary wheels and hubs.
Within a few years, the “Parker Hub” became an industry standard, around the world, renowned for quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and affordability.
As Parker Wheels and Hubs dominated the wheel and hub business, the family expanded into sulky and cart manufacturing for more than forty years. Fred’s legacy was passed on to his son, Larry, in the late 1980’s.
Having participated in the business as a young man, Larry continued the tradition of manufacturing the wheels and hubs. Larry taught his son, Brian, the nuances of the business. Together, they designed and developed a multipurpose wheel that could be used for both harness horse training and miniature show horse applications.
When Larry passed the mantle to Brian in 2003, Brian began teaching his own son, Brandon and his daughter Krista, the art and science of modern wheel and hub manufacturing.
Preserving the spirit established by Fred R. Parker in 1943, Parker Wheels and Hubs continues to thrive as a globally-recognized brand. While the tradition of hand-built quality has transcended seven decades and four generations of the Parker family, innovation is always in demand.
Today, Parker Wheels and Hubs are created from the highest quality aircraft aluminum and stainless steel, using parts fabricated to precise tolerances, and polished to uncompromising standards.
